Welcome to our beautiful home state, Tasmania, one of the last true wilderness regions on Earth, encompassing a greater range of natural and cultural values than any other region on the planet. The Wilderness World Heritage Area covers approximately 1.38 million hectares (or about 3.46 million acres) which represents about 1/5th of the area of the island state.
The "Cow ‘N’ Calf Art Gallery" is located at 16 Church St., Stanley, on Tasmanias Northwest coast. The gallery was officially opened on the 1st November 2010, and has since become a very popular destination for tourists and locals. The building itself is of 1930’s style construction, featuring Tasmanian Oak floorboards, a large bay window, exterior stained glass window panels, and an extensive cottage style garden fronting Church St. The walls and floorspace of the rooms and hallway are replete with the artworks of local and interstate artists.
Visitors quite often comment about having a wonderful experience as they roam the gallery rooms, piped music as an accompaniment, as they take in the friendly ambience whilst admiring the diverse range of works on display.
The gallery opening hours are between 10am and 6pm daily, or by appointment by contacting myself on 0439 251151. Wheelchair access is provided.
